History of plant: The seeds were first found in 1919 in Korea and were sent to Britain for cultivation. By 1937 it was widely available. The plant surpisingly is still not seen in modern gardens very often.
Decorative and economic uses (if any): Early flowering.
Growing instructions: Abeliophyllum is easy to grow. Grow in medium wet, well drained soils in full sun.
