Summer Holiday Events
The following activities will be taking place at the Garden most days during the summer holidays:
Pond Dipping : Come and explore the hidden depths of our ponds!
11.30 - 12.30 and 2 - 3pm in the Aqualab
Grape Escape : Help save the Grapes. Build a raft out of twigs & leaves to carry a grape all the way down the Rill and save it from being juiced!
1 - 2pm in The Great Glasshouse
Close Encounters : Get closer to plants than you ever thought possible. discover the hidden beauty of plants under the microscope!
Drop-in sessions in The Great Glasshouse.
As well as Family Fun activities, the following fantastic events are happening at the Garden...
12th August:
A Midsummer Night's Dream:
Shakespeare's play, performed outdoors at the Garden by Chapterhouse Theatre Company. Starts at 7.15pm, but doors open at 6.30pm - in plenty of time for a picnic before it starts!
24th August:
Wales in Space:
Take part in all the ‘Wales in Space’ activities for free!
Build a marshmallow person and explode it in the vacuum chamber. Build a rocket and paint glow in the dark stars. Team up to build a Mars Rover and view stars in the Techniquest inflatable Starlab. (The Mars Rover Challenge and Starlab require you to collect a free voucher when you purchase your entry ticket at the Gatehouse).
24th August:
Daisy Family Festival:
A celebration of the Daisy! Come and join us for our very first Daisy Family Festival and find out how daisies can be used as medicine, food and drink. And anyone called Daisy can enter the Garden free of charge! A celebration of the Daisy! Quack Pack:
Bank Holiday Monday fun with the ducks!
30th August:
Treasure Island:
Outdoor Theatre production of Treasure Island - family entertainment set in the days of sail ships and pirates! Starts at 2.30pm (with no extra charge).

25th July - 21st September:
Tribal Lands Exhibition:
An exhibition of stunning images of indigenous tribal people, landscapes and wildlife by National Geographic photographer Richard Collins.
