Exhibitions
The philosophical heart of the Garden is the Physicians of Myddfai Exhibition. Situated in a converted stone barn at Millennium Square, it links Carmarthenshire's famous tradition of plant medicines and today's science of plant-derived pharmaceutical products. Its exhibits celebrate the gentle approach to plant medicines and natural healing which Wales shares with other world regions and highlights the importance of plant diversity in safeguarding this resource.

Tucked into an inner wall of the Great Glasshouse is Simply Plants, an interactive exhibition designed especially for children. Through beautiful video sequences, bubbling graphics and thought-provoking interactives, they can have fun learning about the ingenious life cycle of a plant. Beginning with the seed, they will follow the root system and leaf structure till they reach a plant's own system of movement - its flower and fruit.
In 2005 we opend the Bee Garden Viewing Gallery. A wooden structure with honeycomb shaped windows, it allows you to get up close to the honey bee hives and find out more about these fascinating insects and the plants they feed on. On 2008, look out for the Bee cam, special cameras attached at the opening and inside the hives.
Our Garden Gallery has a diverse programme of exhibitions throughout the year. Have a look at what's on now in our Events listings.
