Created by William Pye, the name of this water sculpture means 'curving water steps'. Listen to the lively sound of the water as it pours from each bronze spout to the level below. If you stand exactly in the middle of the two structures, you will find an echo spot. Surrounding the sculpture are seven dawn redwoods (Metasequoia glyptostroiboides). This was an unknown species until its fossil was discovered in 1941 and coincidentally, in the same year, a living specimen was found growing in China.
