15. Bee Garden

We have created this bee garden as a home for over a million honey bees. Over time, the apiary will be planted with species that will provide a rich source of nectar. Part of the enjoyment of keeping these bees will be to watch where else in the Botanic Garden they will choose to feed. Watch out for them drinking from the stream in the Japanese Garden. To get a closer look at the bees, you can peep through a hole in the stone wall but do take care - unlike wasps, they are unlikely to sting but may do so if they feel threatened.
